Sunda International has donated about 1,400 hygiene items to the Hygiene Essentials Bank of the Directorate of Students Affairs (DoSA) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) to support student welfare.
The donation included 30 cartons of sanitary pads and 10 bags of washing powder to assist students who may struggle to afford basic personal care products.

Speaking at the presentation, the Sales and Marketing Manager of Sunda International, Mr. Thomas Ameah Junior, said the gesture, the second by the company, was prompted by the growing demand for personal care items among students.
“Last year when we joined the DoSA Day programme, after our first donation, we realized there was a real need for personal care products, and we felt we had to help our young ones who are actually in need,” he said.
Mr. Ameah Junior said the company remains committed to sustaining the partnership and intends to support the initiative annually.
“Sunda has actually come to stay, and we promise to also continue to help you every year,” he added.

Professor Marian Asantewah Nkansah, Director of DoSA, said the Hygiene Essentials Bank was introduced as part of broader efforts to strengthen student support services.
“As we feed them, as we clothe them, we want them to smell good too and have good hygiene. This adds to your confidence, and that ultimately influences your learning outcomes,” she said.
Professor Nkansah appealed for sustained support, noting that students’ needs extend beyond a single semester.
“Students don't need personal care products only in the first semester. We run two semesters a year, so we'll be grateful if we can receive the same,” she stated.
Describing the donation as timely and impactful, she expressed appreciation to Sunda International for its continued support.
